Star Battle is a logic puzzle on a square grid divided into coloured zones. You place stars, here turtles, so that every row, every column and every zone holds the same number. No two may touch, not even diagonally.

- Tap a square once to place a pebble where no turtle can be.
- Tap twice to place a turtle.
- Drag across squares to lay or lift many pebbles at once.
- A turtle that breaks a rule gets a soft red frame.

Start with the smallest zone. Every square around a turtle you are sure of can take a pebble, because turtles never touch.
